Our wines have won two gold medals at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles!
Disznókő Vineyard has gained international recognition again, with our wines securing two gold medals at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles. This achievement highlights the exceptional quality of Disznókő wines. It proves that combining traditional winemaking methods and rigorous quality control can deliver the highest standards on the global stage.
Why is the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles so special?

The Concours Mondial de Bruxelles is one of the world’s most prestigious and recognized international wine competitions. One of the competition’s unique aspects is that the judges are not only international wine experts but also winemakers, journalists, and traders. This year, the jury included members from nine different nationalities, ensuring diverse perspectives during the evaluation and leading to the recognition of truly outstanding wines.
Another distinctive feature of the competition is its division into sections, where each type of wine is judged based on the most appropriate expertise and criteria. The evaluation occurs through blind tastings, where the only information provided is the vintage, ensuring that regional prestige does not influence the decision. Disznókő wines achieved exceptional results in the Sweet and Fortified Wine section, where the international jury evaluated over 300 wines from 23 countries. Hungary won four medals in this section, with two going to Disznókő wines—a unique source of pride for us. This proves the vineyard’s dedication and hard work and further enhances Hungary’s reputation in the international wine world.
