Disznókő emerged as one of the most successful Hungarian wineries at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2024, winning two gold, four silver, and one bronze medal.
Disznókő Winery will proudly present its wines on June 8 at the Decanter Fine Wine Encounter in New York, representing Hungary as the event’s sole Hungarian winery. We are delighted that the prestigious exhibition will feature Disznókő Kapi 6 Puttonyos Tokaji Aszú 2015 in the „Special Wines” category.
We are particularly honored that Disznókő Tokaji Aszú 5 Puttonyos was selected to complement Chef Alléno’s historic menu. Having our wine featured at such a prestigious event underscores our commitment to excellence and our shared passion for extraordinary dining experiences.
Disznókő Furmint Dry 2023 marries the delicate fragrance of white blossoms with the strength of our volcanic terroir, blending the richness of matured fruit with the invigorating crispiness of vibrant acids. It possesses both character and elegance.
Disznókő 1413 Sweet Szamorodni 2021 is a rich and complex wine from an exceptional vintage reminiscent of the great classic Tokaji aszú vintages. The name „Szamorodni,” meaning „as it comes,” pays homage to the traditional method of processing healthy, botrytized, and aszú berries together, without separation, just as they grew on the vine. The sweetness of Szamorodni is intricately tied to the proportion of botrytized, raisined berries, with the wine’s sweetness increasing as the berries become more shriveled and botrytized.
Our V.P.T.S. is the “summa” of Disznókő’s aszú wines. A very rich wine with impeccable balance and finesse – a sublime pleasure.
The 2023 vintage stands out for its excellence. Our dry wines boast fruity, fresh flavors, wonderfully balanced, while our aszú wines, enriched by superb botrytization, offer a rich and intricate taste experience.
It is a great pleasure for us to announce that Disznókő Estate has ranked 45th in the World’s Best Vineyards competition! The list provides an insight into the best all-round winery experiences, evaluating not only the wines, but also visitor experiences.
Disznókő’s cherished tradition of the „Blind and Visually Impaired Harvest” is dedicated to raising awareness about visual impairments. It offers us a chance to understand, value, and celebrate the beauty of the harvest in the company of those who perceive the world from a unique perspective.
A rich and complex wine, attributed to its depth and main characteristics from generously botrytized clusters and extended barrel aging. The wine of finesse and balance, originating from an exceptional vintage, produced in extremely limited quantities.
